I have lived with Crohn’s Disease for 35 years. Over time, I noticed that my gastroenterologist would ask the same nine questions at every appointment. For decades, I had been estimating my answers, which made me realize that more accurate responses could have potentially led to different treatment plans.
I explored various chronic disease mobile apps to help track my symptoms, but none of them provided a way to systematically answer the nine essential questions my doctor asked.
As a software engineer, I decided to lead a team to create an app specifically designed to track chronic disease symptoms. Drawing from my own experience, we designed the application to be flexible: we can easily add new diseases by entering the relevant questions and possible responses. The app supports both single and multiple daily entries, accommodating different conditions and physician requirements.
The main advantage is that patients can record their symptoms in real time on their phones, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information. Since doctors treating chronic diseases rely on the same routine questions, patients can now generate comprehensive reports with precise details for their appointments.
